Women's/Men's Health

Every addiction is a medical illness. Men are more prone to addictions while women are more likely to suffer from depression.

Personality traits of male addicts

Male behaviour focuses on the outside and is directed at others. Men tend to "explode", they are verbally abusive, suffer loss of sympathy and growing apathy. Furthermore, they neglect their comittments and duties like payments or certain tasks. Peer pressure plays a key role. Men often drink in groups, e.g. in society, while women tend to drink alone.

Personality traits of female addicts

Women are aggressive towards themselves. Low self-confidence. Often Borderline-types. Addiction prone women tend to enter relationships with male addicts. Alcoholic women often have been badly treated.
